So You Want To Be A WAH Mom or Dad
Well the first thing most people ask is what is a WAHM or WAHD ~ what exactly do you do? Simply put I tell them, a WAHM is a mom who works from home enjoying both being with her family and bringing in the additional income needed to help support the family. Or a WAHD is a dad who has made the choice to stay home with the family while mom works in a traditional job.
A work at home mom or dad these days can be someone whose company allows them to work from the comfort of their home thru telecommuting , someone involved in a direct sales company(s) or franchises , or those who are blessed with the creative juices to market their own ideas/products in a cottage-industry or home-grown business. Which ever route taken, all are truly work at home moms or dads!
Finding that special niche that fits is the biggest challenge to becoming a work at home mom/dad. Thru research and careful planning though it can be both rewarding financially and professionally.
So hats off to all of those who use the term WAHM or WAHD!
